We love ASU spirit but I think this time they have taken their partying a little too far.

Arizona State university students decided to throw a party for Martin Luther King day that left students suspended. After pictures were posted from an unregistered Greek event’s “MLK Black Event”, things got heated. Members of the event and their guests dressed in basketball jerseys, flashing gang signs and even drinking from watermelon cups.

A representative for ASU has officially stated that they have suspended Tau Kappa Epsilon’s chapter operations and continue to investigate those behind the event and those who were offended by the innocent.

ASU senior Frank Hogan discussed his outrage for the event: “This isn’t appropriate at all and you really have no business dressing like this on a day that’s sort of revered for African-Americans”.

No further information have been leaked regarding the stance of the other students involved but we will continue to keep you posted.

On the bright side… have you seen the new layout for ASU’s Sun Devil Stadium? Check it out here!
